What do soldiers get if they work for 20 years in military as retirement plan, pay and benefits?

Average is OK since I know it depends on a lot of factors.
Also, what are the standard benefits?

It’s your final base pay (depend on rank) divided by two. For example, if you make e-8 by 20 years. Your monthly base pay would be around 4300 dollars as of 2008. You divide that by two which is 2150. Your benefit would pretty much be the same as when you were active.
